Subaru of America, with headquarters right here in Camden, NJ, has consistently been one of the most philanthropic companies in our region, if not our country. Part of their corporate culture is a thing they call the “Subaru Love Promises.” The Subaru Love Promise is their vision to show love and respect to all people at every interaction with Subaru.

That vision takes tangible form in dozens of efforts throughout the calendar year like the one I attended in this video. With their partner the Philadelphia Union, Subaru honors a group called the “Fearless 43” by welcoming them to Subaru Park several times a year. The Fearless 43 are a group of children and their families that are battling childhood cancer.

These kids have been through it and they have the literal scars sometimes that remind us of their journey, but on days and nights like this at Subaru Park – it’s all smiles and just kids being kids. You can see on the faces of the parents how much this support means and it’s truly an honor to get to see my friends at Subaru and the Union in action on these Love Promise initiatives. It’s part of their culture and it showed at every part of this event, from the time the kids walked in, play time, picture time, lunch time and getting cool swag time.
