Taking over South Jersey by storm, Pickleball has become a regular household sport engaging families and bringing the community together at local courts. Pickleball is similar to tennis with a much more relaxed pace. Played in pairs, pickleball includes a wiffle ball-like ball, and a solid paddle.
Berlin, NJ has built six new pickleball courts as a part of the Parks Alive 2025 program, a multi-million dollar plan to refurbish and build parks in the Camden County area. Camden County Commissioner Jeff Nash said “Our philosophy is to reach out to the community, find out what the community wants to see in their parks–here it was pickleball in Berlin, and work from there.” The town of Berlin, NJ has now all been brought closer with this new and fun way to get together.
