VIDEO: “Crunch” Time for Gloucester County Woman in Lay’s Chips Finals

Sewell, New Jersey native, Meneko Spigner McBeth needs your help for the final push in the Lays “Do Us A Flavor” contest. Meneko is one of four finalist in the contest with her Wasabi ginger chip. The chip flavor idea was inspired by her grandmother.

“My grandmother is Japanese. She will make sushi for all of her grand kids., but she would make a child friendly one, which had cucumber and fried egg that she would make into a roll,” Spiger McBeth said.

Lays have mass produced Meneko’s chips since , but if you want her chips to stay in stores you have to vote. Vote here for Meneko: VOTE  Make sure to go on Twitter and Facebook using the hashtag #SaveWasabi

No matter the outcome of the contest, Meneko’s experience has been priceless.

“The wasabi ginger chip has change my life. It’s given me after 35 years of being here something I can look back on in my life and say this was my moment my fifteen minutes of fame and I enjoyed every minute of it,” Spiger McBeth said.
