Bebashi – Transition to Hope, with the help of a select team of undergraduate students from the University Of Pennsylvania Wharton School Of Business, will host “Holiday Harvest” on Saturday, November 16th. Holiday Harvest aims to provide Thanksgiving dinner and health screenings to approximately 300 men and women in need. Invited guests include individuals currently living in rehabilitation centers, shelters, or those who are homeless. The health screenings offered will include rapid HIV and Hepatitis C testing, clinical breast exams, blood pressure, insulin, and cholesterol screening, flu shots, and more. Additionally, guests will enjoy a live DJ, raffle prizes, and children’s activities. Though the event is designed to be fun for all, its goal is to ultimately raise awareness for health disparities impacting our neighbors in need living in the city of Philadelphia.
“Holiday Harvest” will take place from 12:00 – 5:00 at the Vare Recreation Center, located at 2600 Morris Street. The students from Wharton are assisting with the planning, promotion, hosting, and evaluating of the event. Bebashi would like to thank all the students who chose to help with this incredibly important event.
