For Earth Day 2014, the Philadelphia Eagles and the Riverbend (P-CAN) students cleaned up FDR Park.  The students from Stephen Girard School in South Philadelphia joined Eagles staff, including Swoop, for some sweeping, pulling weeds, clearing paths and planting at the park.  Stephen Girard is one of six schools in the Philadelphia area that participates in the Riverbend’s Philadelphia Children Access to Nature Program (P-CAN). The program is intended to create change in the community through science education.
