PHL17 Announces 2014 Viewers’ Choice Awards

PHILADELPHIA – Thursday, January 23, 2014 – PHL17, home of the Mummers, is proud to announce the winners of the 2014 SugarHouse Casino Mummers Viewers’ Choice Awards. Winners were chosen by popular vote on PHL17.com.

Congratulations go out to Bill McIntyre’s Shooting Stars for their performance, “Atlantis: Guardians of the Deep,” and to Hegeman String Band for their performance, “Hegeman’s Household Havoc.” This is the second win since 2011 for Bill McIntyre’s Shooting Stars, and Hegeman String Band’s very first Viewer’s Choice Award.

“These were fun and outstanding performances; it’s great to hear the viewers’ verdict,” says Mummers Hall of Famer and Voice of the Mummers, Steve Highsmith.
