Have you ever wondered what it’s like to row on the Schuylkill River?  Well, Eye Opener’s Zachery Lashway headed up to White Marsh Boat Club where professionals and amateurs a-like were getting their feet wet!

The White Marsh Boat Club, instituted in 2005, is a not for profit organization, dedicated to advancing the sport of rowing.  White Marsh Boating Club is located about 10 miles north of Boat House Row, tucked away around the Conshohocken curve welcoming all, even new and novice rowers as well!

Rick Shwarz of White Marsh Boating Club states, “If you’re interested in getting involved in the sport of rowing, be careful because it can be addicting!”

So, taking Rick Schwarz’s word, Zachery Lashway of Eye Opener was eager to learn himself, signing up for the White Marsh Boat Club’s Learn-to-row program.

Stay tuned for more to find out if Zach sinks or swims when learning how to row with White Marsh Boat Club!
