It’s barbecue season people!  Yes, you’ve guessed correctly… it is the first official day of summer! And to kick off this beautiful first day we took Eye Opener outside of our station for the very first time.

Not only did we bring you all the latest in weather and news updates but we were joined by Glenn Gross, CEO and President of Fat Jacks BBQ. Gross was more than gracious as he set up his grill and hung out with us all morning!  We had all the settings that make for a great day, complete with Bacon Wrapped Shrimp, Rib-Eye steak , grilled roasted fruit, corn, and roasted veggies. And, the sauce – oh, the sauce! – it was delectable and out of this world!

For all those grill novices out there, Gross says for the best tasting food, set those grill settings at low and cook it up slow!

Of course, if you don’t have time to fire up the grill, head on down to Fat Jacks.  They currently have two convenient locations in Northeast Philadelphia and Vineland, New Jersey.
