Happy 4th of July! And, in honor of our nation’s 237th birthday, we headed over to Percy Street Barbecue for some down-home B-B-Q in Biz Bites that included dry-rubbed ribs, brisket and chicken. The meats were wood-smoked in their authentic barbecue sauce. And, that’s not all. In addition to the slow-smoked meats there are homey side dishes. They come in small and large sides sizes and you can get pinto beans, collards, coleslaw and more.
While I chowed down as a I say in Biz Bites, we sipped on delicious root bear made by Yards Brewery. Wow!
I thought the décor was pretty cool too and very much in the spirit of the 4th of July with hard wood benches and a Red, White and Blue theme. You’ll find light wood floors, a working jukebox and custom blackboard walls. There is a neat map of the USA highlighting their amazing selection of over 100 craft beers.
Many fans of Percy Street say its truly authentic Texas-style barbecue.
Percy Street Barbecue is located at 900 South St.
Check out our Biz-Bites on Thursday and wake up with us each weekday from 6 to 8 am. And, as always you can find me on Twitter @JenLewisHall.
