Summer is just around the corner and if you're one of the many looking to make some home improvements this season, we have some tips.  Renowned interior designer Nate Berkus is giving us his take on revamping your kitchen just in time for summer.

Renowned interior designer, Nate Berkus, and LG Studio, LG's premium line of kitchen appliances, teamed up again at Dwell on Design in LA this week to help attendees re-imagine kitchen spaces.
Nate Berkus:
"Every creative mind has a different vision for a different space and that's what's beautiful about design."

Berkus shared design insights, advice, and the inspiration behind two beautiful kitchen dinettes that he conceptualized and designed for LG at the show.

"We've got everything. Oak cabinetry, brass knobs, hardwood floors, counter tops, great lanterns."

Berkus and LG also unveiled the newest collection of appliances from LG Studio, which Berkus had a hand in designing.

"I tried to think of what are some of the timeless elements that would last. If you're renovating right now what would still look good in 10 years. Obviously the studio line, pro-styling stainless steal, but a mix of different finishes that feel assembled and layered overtime.  "

David Vanderwaal:
"He understands what people want to do with their kitchen and their lives and their individual style statements. And so his particular influences on our product lines were everything from the finish itself instead of a contour outline of flat finish. The knobs, they're a perfect blend of form and function. "

Berkus's inspiration can be felt throughout the 2015 LG Studio lineup which includes a door-in-door refrigerator, gas and electric slide in ranges, and an over the range microwave oven.

"In terms of sort of my design direction and working with LG, it was what looks pro-style, what is the flattest we can make this, what is really going to stand the test of time so 10 years from now 15 years from now you're still happy with the choices that you made when you were starting your renovation. "

Michela O'Connor Abrams:
"This to me is the chef's kitchen without being the intimidating kitchen. It is the way that appliances were made to work. "
