Keeping healthy and fit in this hot weather is not easy sometimes, but Rachel Nicks from Women's Health Magazine joins us now with some tips.
 Rachel Nicks:
Good morning Philly!
I'm Rachel Nicks, certified trainer, fitness expert and one of Women's Health next fitness stars to be...hopefully.
So I'm here today to talk about how to maximize your workout in the summer heat with some of Women's Health's favorite fitness finds for the summer.
So we want to start by thinking about our body in the heat. Right? We know that staying hydrated is important, but so is nutrition. So our go to to stay full of proper nutrients is EAS's advantage carb control shake. It's 100 calories. That's it. It's ready to drink, no work involved. It's packed with 17 grams of protein, less than one gram of sugar, and it's loaded with essential vitamins and minerals. So I think it's a great quick snack that fills you with everything you need. Four packs are only $5.99 at Target.
Now so you go from the inside to protecting the outside.  We probably don't think about putting on sunscreen before we workout, but it's super important for our health. So our go to is Coppertone Sport AccuSpray sunscreen or sunscreen lotion. So you have the option spray or cream. And what's great about it is it stays on strong even when you sweat. It won't run into your eyes, your eyes won't sting and it provides protection against the sun's most powerful rays. And I think it's great to put on before you workout so you don't forget to do it later on in the day. And it's available nationwide at food, drug, mass and internet retailers for $9.99.
Now indoor workouts are probably the best way to avoid getting super super hot. So find an indoor workout you love. My specialties are barre, TRX, and interval training at BFX Studio in New York City. But when I teach barre my go to instead of just being barefoot is Nike Studio Wraps. They provide me traction and prevent me from slipping and they're super-duper cute.
Now music. When you're working out outdoors you need the proper tech to keep you amped during your workout. Our go to here is Outdoor Tech Orcas Wireless Ear Buds. A lot of ear buds slip out, these don't.  They're ultra light, sweat proof and they have blue tooth technology so you can focus on your moves with them comfortably sitting in your ears throughout your workout.
So thank you. Hopefully these finds help you out during your summer workout and don't forget to vote for me at the
Have a great day Philly!
