Philadelphia (WPHL) – After a week of investigations, Delaware County Police have identified the woman’s body who was found inside a mattress in Upper Darby, PA.

According to an update by Upper Darby police, the woman has been identified as 61-year-old Rosemary Byrne, from Newark, Delaware.

Rosemary Byrne was reported missing by a family member to the Darby Borough Police Department on December 12, 2022.

Last Monday, January 16th, Upper Darby police discovered her decomposed body inside a folded mattress in an alley way near the 7000 block of Greenwood Avenue, near Church lane.

In a statement, Upper Darby Police said, “We are working diligently to learn the circumstances by which Ms. Bryne passed, and we are asking the public for any and all help they can provide.”
