PHILADELPHIA, PA – Thursday morning, one of the founding members of the For Pete’s Sake Young Friends Committee joined Matt Alba on the PHL17 set to talk about an upcoming fundraiser in Stone Harbor.
On August 20th, the Young Friends of FPS will be hosting the 2ndAnnual Buttoned-Up BBQ fundraiser. The event will take placefrom 7-11 p.m. at the Women’s Civic Center Club of Stone Harbor, New Jersey!
For Pete’s Sake Cancer Respite Foundation is a Philadelphia-based non-profit that enables adult cancer patients and their loved ones to “take a break from cancer” by sending them on unforgettable respite vacations. Last year’s event raised over $10,000, for FPS—enough to send TWO deserving families on a respite trip of a lifetime.
Admission to the Buttoned-Up Barbecue includes a BBQ dinner, open bar, music by DJ Storgy, raffle ticket, transportation to the Whitebrier in Avalon, NJ following the event and more!
The FPS Young Friends Committee’s goal is to increase program awareness and fundraising efforts through seasonal events and service opportunities.
