New film highlights local women’s efforts during WWII

You probably know that women played an important role in World War Two, especially as the “Rosie the riveter” campaign grew in popularity across the nation.

But did you know that the contributions of 600,000 African-American women helped the United States to win the war?

That’s the focus of a new documentary from a local director.

It even features women from the Delaware Valley, and recognizes their significant efforts.
