It’s time to chow down! This time for Biz Bites, I visited Rex 1516 with restaurant expert Peter Van Allen to taste their delicious New Orleans-style southern comfort food.

The decor was magnificent with hardwood floors, exposed brick walls, and accents on the bar from an old Rittenhouse Square restaurant. I certainly felt like I was right in the heart of Bourbon Street!

Peter and I tasted shrimp & gritts and fried chicken, which was flavored and soaked in sweet tea! This was comfort food at its finest, and puts your mother’s cooking to shame!

Rex 1516 is located on South Street, and you can find more information on their website, by following them on Twitter, and ‘liking’ them on Facebook.
