Fishtown has emerged as the hottest up and coming neighborhood in Philadelphia.
“Fishtown is a very attracted hot spot for young professionals looking for great real estate in the city of Philadelphia,” said Jennifer Grosskopf, realtor at The Grosskopf Group.
350 homes were sold in Fishtown in 2012 and homes have been selling even faster ever since.
“The rent is definitely affordable. I think renters today are looking for really great -quality renovation property. They want to have something that has granite, they want something that has central air, lighting, hardwood floors. There is that affordability here in Fishtown for that,” Grosskopf said.
Places such as Frankford Hall, La Colombe Coffee and other restaurants and bars are attracting young professionals ages 25 to 35.
“You can go see your great music venue, you can go have a great beer, you can go have some great coffee and still be able to live in an area that you can walk to all of these places,” Grosskopf said.
