Breast cancer and the Power of Prayer: Can faith help in the fight against the disease? According to statistics from the American Cancer Society 1 in 8 women in the United States will develop breast cancer during their lifetime. Jennifer Lewis-Hall’s guests include a mother and a daughter who were both diagnosed with an advanced form of breast cancer the same day of the same month, 10 years apart. Anita T. Conner and her daughter Kerri Conner-Matchett join us to share their inspiring story as we learn more about their faith-based breast cancer organization that travels to one-hundred churches annually. Jennifer also interviews surgical oncologist, Dr. Richard Bleicher of Fox Chase Cancer Center, his patient – Dona Vinall, and Fox Chase Senior Director of Community Outreach Evelyn Gonzalez. And, with churches and houses of worship in the Delaware Valley actively engaged in the fight against breast cancer, joining Jennifer are members of Team Healing Hands from St. Matthew A.M.E Church. Lynne Dudley Co-Captain, Team Healing Hands and Co-Chair of the Susan G. Komen Race For The Cure is interviewed as well as team members Deidre Sims-Dill and Beatrice Sims.
