PHL17 produced and aired numerous local television shows over the years, including kids’ favorite Wee Willie Webber’s Colorful Cartoon Club, Dr. Shock’s Horror Theater, and the 1980s teen dance hit Dancin’ on Air. During much of the 1970s and 1980s, the station was known as “The Great Entertainer.” On September 5, 2006, the station became an affiliate of MyNetworkTV.

Community Connection

In addition to its popular programming, PHL17 is active in community and charitable events. Viewers can catch PHL17′s Events Team throughout the Delaware Valley at Phillies games, Mummers charity events, marathons, and other sponsored events. Meeting fans and working closely with the public is important to PHL17, as also reflected in its weekly community affairs program, In Focus, featuring Jennifer Lewis-Hall.
