PHILADELPHIA, PA — Their motto is “putting the hilarity in charity” and every February on, or around, St. Valentine’s Day that’s just what the Cupid Undie Run does for the Children’s Tumor Foundation in 40 cities across the country. They raise almost 4 million dollars in this effort nationally, and over $250,000 of that total is raised here in Philadelphia.
So what is the Cupid Undie Run Philly? It’s a road “race” with hundreds of crazed runners taking to the grounds outside XFinity Live in celebration of their fundraising. The Cupid Undie Run is a go at your own personal pace kind of race. So is the “undie” part. While “undies” always encouraged, it’s up to the runner what they wear.

The Children’s Tumor Foundation is the world’s largest non-government organization dedicated to ending Neurofibromatosis (NF) through research. Currently, there is no cure for NF and there are frighteningly few treatment options. NF affects roughly 1:3,000 births in the U.S. and is in desperate need of new discovery. With efforts like the Cupid Undie Run the foundation is on a mission to #EndNF and all proceeds benefit the Children’s Tumor Foundation.
