The New Year is all about setting a new course; which isn’t always easy.  Some people strive to lose weight, eat healthier, save money, work harder, spend more time with family — the list is endless.  Regardless of the resolution all are intended to change people’s lives.

Six years ago, CrossFit 215‘s Head Coach Cassie Haynes did just that — she changed her life.  She vowed to become a healthier person.

Then, weighing in at about 240 pounds and smoking almost a pack of cigarettes a day, she hated physical activity.

Haynes never dreamed of training for a triathlon, running a marathon or doing CrossFit.

The last time she participated in organized physical activity was as a teenager when she did ballet.  It wasn’t long she hung up her ballet shoes after her teacher told her she was too fat to be a ballerina.

PHL17’s Zachery Lashway reports on how Haynes successfully changed her life and how exercise programs like CrossFit contributed to her eminence.
