BREAKING: Three Dead In Single-Engine Plane Crash In Montgomery County

UPPER MORELAND TOWNSHIP, P.a. (WPHL) — Investigators have confirmed that three people are dead following a plane crash in a Montgomery County residential neighborhood.

The aircraft departed Northeast Philadelphia Airport around 6:12 on Thursday morning. Based on the flight plan, investigators believe it was headed for Ohio.

The police department says that one male and two females were on the airplane, all of whom are deceased.

Officials say that 911 calls about the crash began pouring in around 6:20 a.m.

We are told that a single-engine aircraft took a path through backyards in Upper Moreland Township, before coming to rest in a shed behind a home near Minnie Lane and Morris Road.

Investigators said that no one on the ground was hurt, and no homes were damaged.

Agents from the National Transportation Safety Board and the Federal Aviation Administration are also investigating.
