In the South Jersey Craft Beer community, it’s rare to find someone who hasn’t tried beer from Glasstown Brewing Company in Millville, NJ. Their beers can be found in over 140 bars and restaurants and in nearly 100 liquor stores, so it’s easy to see how Glasstown has become a staple among Jersey beer fans. Chip Fantini, a Millville local and die-hard Glasstown enthusiast, refers to owners Paul and Jen Simmons as “the godfathers of South Jersey brewing”.
Since opening their doors in late 2012, Glasstown has brewed dozens of beers and has developed a very loyal local crowd. Their unique location in Millville Executive Airport enables them to host innovative events like their Cornhole Tournament, Ornament Hunt and Easter Egg Hunt, which have drawn as many as 1,000 customers to their business at a time.
Glasstown has a massive variety of beers ranging from staple IPAs like their 609 to seasonal ales like Clash of the Pumpkins for the fall season and It’s a Wonderful Ale for Christmastime. However, my personal favorite is their Big Breakfast Coffee Maple Porter, which literally tastes like breakfast in a glass. With over a dozen beers on tap at all times, there’s bound to be something for the beer-lover in you.
