The Parks and Recreation Department for the City of Philadelphia is celebrating summer time!

Jennifer Lewis-Hall’s guests talk about fun and safe ways to beat the heat in Philadelphia and the more than seventy pools open during the summer as well as free events including movie nights in the city. And, they share information on the many summer camps for children including various specialties from art, to golf camp to rowing camp. Jennifer’s guests include Kathryn Ott Lovell, City of Philadelphia Parks and Recreation Commissioner and Orlando Rendon, City of Philadelphia Deputy Commissioner of the Program Division. Also joining Jennifer is Dr. Abhishek Aphale from Fox Chase Cancer Center to talk about keeping safe in the sun and the important information we need to know to avoid or lessen risks of skin cancer. In Focus airs Saturdays at 6:30 AM.
