Our focus: organizations making a difference in the lives of young people in the Delaware Valley. Jennifer Lewis-Hall's guests include members of the Philadelphia Police Athletic League – Executive Director Ted Qualli. Police officer Ernie Pollard, Paley PAL Center Director is with us as well as one of their youth members – Amber Sanders who shares why she loves to participate in PAL. Corporal Bryan Coyle joins us as well with two Cadets – Daniel Flanagan and Marita E. Rivera who are from the Philadelphia Police Explorer Program, which provides mentoring and life skills to those interested in law enforcement. And, also sharing their success with young people in a town in Camden County is Rev. Dennis L. Blackwell, Pastor Asbury United Methodist Church in Woodlynne, New Jersey. Blackwell along with two members of their youth group, called The League of Promise join Jennifer. Those parishioners and youth members are Marley Flores, a junior at Pennsauken High School and Jahmir Chatman who is a senior at Audubon High School. In Focus airs Saturdays at 6:30 AM on PHL17.
