PHILADELPHIA, PA – It's always a good time at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Philadelphia, and really, how many cemeteries can you really say that about?  I try and visit as often as I can for stories because it's a beautiful backdrop steeped with a rich history of its own.  This time the event was 8th Annual Hearse and Professional Vehicle Show presented by  Mohnton Professional Car Club (MPCC).

The event welcomed owners of any and all hearses, ambulances, flower cars, limousines and other service vehicles to participate in the show,  very appropriately held ton the grounds of Laurel Hill Cemetery. The show featured an eclectic mix of cars from the 1940s to the 1990s with themes all over the board, but generally, and some might find this surprising, many of the displays had a great sense of humor.  Rock bands, From Dawn till Death and Somebody’s Circus provided festive entertainment for the free event all day.

In this video clip Sean Koening MPCC President gives us more info about the cars and Emma Stern, Director of Programs at Laurel Hill lets us know a little bit more about the cemetery.
