More than a month after the horrific shootings that killed forty-nine people and injured more than fifty others at Pulse Nightclub in Orlando, Philadelphia is holding Philly4Pulse, a large fundraiser to raise money for the victim’s families and those who were injured. Joining Jennifer Lewis-Hall to talk more about the event is Michael Duffy, General Manager of Valanni Restaurant and Bar in Center City.
Philly4Pulse is happening July 21st beginning at 7pm. The event features several prominent Philadelphia-area politicians and celebrities who are joining the LGBT community to raise funds for the victims of the Pulse Nightclub shooting last month. Major Jim Kenney among many others will serve as guest bartenders during the city-wide fundraiser.
The event is taking place at various Philadelphia LGBT bars and clubs including Valanni, Tabu, ICandy, Knock, Woody's, Tavern on Camac, Stir, Boxers, U Bar, Frank Bradley's, Voyeur, Bike Stop, Bob and Barbara's, and William Way Community Center.
There's also a $10 VIP ticket available for guests to access all performance venues and dance parties throughout the evening and all funds will go to Equality Florida.
