MINNEAPOLIS — Prince has died at 57, according to TMZ.

Prince’s body was discovered at his Paisley Park residence in Minnesota early Thursday, according to the report.

The death investigation at Paisley Park in Chanhassen was first reported by Minneapolis television station KMSP.

Authorities responded to a medical call at 9:43 a.m. local time, Carver County Sheriff’s Office Chief Deputy Jason Kamerud told KMSP. The crime lab and medical examiner are both on scene.

Prince was rushed to the hospital Friday, April 15, after his plane made an emergency landing in Illinois, TMZ reported last week. He was returning from performing in Atlanta and had symptoms of a bad flu, his representative told the celebrity news site. His plane stopped in Moline, and he was back on board in a few hours.
