Saturday, March 12th is the 31st Annual Leprechaun Run to benefit the Special Olympics of Pennsylvania. The 5 Mile Run and 2 Mile Fun Walk/Run has been a Philadelphia tradition since 1984! This year the event will be held on MLK Drive by the Art Museum.

It is so important to participate in the Leprechaun Run or donate to the Special Olympics. Below is information from LeprechaunRun.org:

  • $10,000 can underwrite health screenings for 400 new athletes!
  • $5,000 gives 22 athletes the chance to shine through Special Olympics programming for an entire year!
  • $2,500 provides the opportunity for one SOPA athlete to represent Philadelphia at the National Games!
  • $1,000 covers the cost of training and equipment for the entire Philadelphia Special Olympics basketball program!
