34-year-old Justin Rosenberg founded honeygrow here in Philadelphia in 2012. Rosenberg’s idea for honeygrow started while getting his MBA from Temple University. Honeygrow has 7 locations throughout Philadelphia, New Jersey and Delaware.

“We are a Philadelphia born start up.  We are definitely not a franchise. Not a national chain,” Justin Rosenberg said.

Honeygrow buys their produce locally and gives customers a unique atmosphere down to their interactive ordering. Business is picking up for honeygrow, as they are expanding to both Baltimore and Washington D.C in the coming months.

“It took off in a certain speed that people thought we are a chain and its designed a certain way to have a certain vibe and a certain feel which we take a lot of proud of being local and I don’t want to be perceived as a chain,” Rosenberg said.
