Super Bowl BBQ Tips With The BBQ Guru

This morning on PHL17 Morning News the BBQ Guru, Robert “BBQ Bob” Trudnak stopped by to talk about BBQ tips for Super Bowl Sunday. Here are two recipes for your Super Bowl Sunday.

Grilled cheese stuffed meatball recipe

2 lbs of meatloaf mix

1 small onion chopped fine, 1 clove of garlic chopped fine

1 ½ cup of bread crumbs

2 eggs

1 tsp. onion powder

½ cup chicken stock

2 tsp. bbq rub

3 tbsp. olive oil

-Mix all ingredients together in a bowl by hand and form a hole in the center of the meatball as you roll them

 -Stuff a cheese cube into the meatball and surround the meatball over the cheese

 -Place on a 300-degree grill for about 20 minutes or until the meatball reaches 160 degrees.

 -Serve with marinara sauce

Guacamole deviled eggs w/ crispy bacon top

1 dozen eggs

-Place eggs in a single layer in a saucepan; add water to depth of 3 inches. Bring to a boil; cover, remove from heat, and let stand 15 minutes.

Tap each egg firmly on the counter until cracks form all over the shell.

 -Peel under cold running water.

Slice eggs in half lengthwise, and carefully remove yolk and scoop in the Guacamole
