Jason Lee:
Good morning, I see it's raining where you are, before long it's going to be snowing, so how do we prepare for that?

Courtney Hansen:
Good morning, here's some tips for how you can prepare your vehicles for the winter months. You want to check all of the fluids in your ride, and if necessary change them. The most important ones being antifreeze and your washer fluid. Make sure you are driving with a clear windshield. On that note, also want to make sure your wiper blades are in good shape. I think it's important to have a basic emergency kit in your car, and then most importantly you want to make sure your tires are right for your ride so you are safe out there.

Jason Lee:
Speaking of tires and I have to be honest this is over my head, there are so many different tires out there, what are the differences?

Courtney:
Well it can be overwhelming, there are a lot of tires, basically most drivers have to choose between an all season tire and a winter tire. Most vehicles come with all season tires, they're great, but they are not designed to withstand the winter months when you are driving on snow, and ice and slush. Winter tires are better, they have the traction for snow and ice and slush, but they are not designed to be driven on year round, they wear down very quickly. So Toyo came in and created the Celsius tire which is a variable condition tire, and basically they are bridging that gap. So you have the tred for snow and ice and slush, but you can also use the tire year round.
And what's great, you don't have to, if you are worried about storage space, you don't have to store winter tires and you dont have to swap your tires if you are on a budget and it's affordable to do so. So the Celsius tire is perfect. And as you know, winter conditions can change rapidly, you can be on dry roads in the morning and icy roads by the time you are leaving work so you want to make sure your tires safe for your ride and safe out there.

Jason Lee:
Real quick, before we wrap this up, I understand Toyo is involved with Meals on Wheels, tell us about that.

Courtney:
Yes, Meals on Wheels is an awesome organization I have worked with them, they are dear to my heart. Last year with the extreme weather conditions it was hard for volunteers to get to the seniors who were in need to deliver those meals. And so they have this partnership, Toyo is going to be helping some of the local organizations by giving them grants and equipping them with tires for their rides, including the Celsius tire.

Jason Lee:
That sounds great, where can we go for more information?

Courtney:

Jason:
Alright listen, get out of the rain, go get dry thanks for being with us, we appreciate it. And Eye Opener continues.
