It's the last day of July, so before too long the kids will be back in school. PHL17's Jason Lee spoke to Melissa Musen Gerstein from themoms.com for some back to school essentials...
Melissa good morning. We're already talking about back to school so what do you have for us?
Melissa Musen Gerstein:
Bed, Bath & Beyond is the destination for college essentials. They have helpful services too. It's a great free in-store service called "Pack and Hold." Students can shop for all their dorm room items at a store near home and then have everything ready to pick up at a store near their campus or college, so it's great if you're going to school far away.
And now the bed as we know is the most important part of a dorm room. First build a better bed with a layer of support like a mattress topper, then use a mattress pad, next add a personal touch with a bedding dorm kit. This bold dorm kit is a great value. It has everything needed to make a bed packed into a laundry basket.
College rooms as you know are notorious for being small so bring extra shelving to cut through the clutter. These reversible cube grids and bins are an easy solution to organize belongings. Plus they add a splash of color to any room.
And we all know about the importance of great skin especially for teens and young adults going back to school. So for a limited time the experts from Biore skin care are bringing fun and playful graphic prints to their deep cleansing pore strips. Biore limited edition deep cleansing pore strips make the already satisfying process of de-junking your pores now feel fashionable. These strips contain bonding agents that work like a magnet latching on to and lifting out deep down grim. So in just ten minutes they'll minimize the appearance of your pores and it's $6.49 right now at your drug stores so that is a great staple. Don't forget to pick them up.
And now this is the perfect dorm room addition. The Keurig 2.0 K250 designed for a smaller space. And the brewer comes in a great rage of pop colors like turquoise, orange, pearl, violet and it has more than 500 different beverages from 75 brands that college students know and love like Starbucks, Dunkin Donuts and Snapple. There's also a new Green Mountain Coffee organic line too featuring fair trade single origins and artful blends. The Keurig 2.0 K250 is also great for the home too cause you can make your kids' favorite after school beverages like these. And the Keurig 2.0 K250 helps to cut down your morning routine since it's the first Keurig to not only brew a single cup but four cup craft with the touch of one button which moms need four cups of coffee to get through the day.
So these are my back to school items for you.
Sounds great. Where can we go for more information Melissa?
Melissa Musen Gerstein:
Sure you can go to all their websites or my site themoms.com.
Alright Melissa thanks so much for here. We appreciate it. And Eye Opener continues.
