Hegeman to perform at Eagles

Philadelphia Mummers Hegeman String Band will perform during halftime at the Eagles versus Cowboys game on December 14th.  The game starts at 8:30pm and the half-time performance will last about 7 minutes and will end with a tune that is sure to get the Eagles crowd pumped.

“We are very excited to have the Hegeman String Band performing at halftime on Sunday,” said Eagles Vice President of Marketing, Brian Papson. “The Mummers Parade is very much a part of this city’s fabric and it’s important to us as an organization that we incorporate this special tradition into our fan experience. Hegeman’s unique style and sound, which we are all accustomed to seeing every year on New Year’s Day, will surely pump up our crowd on Sunday Night Football.”

Said Hegeman String Band Captain John Baron, “It’s an honor to be chosen to represent the Philadelphia Mummers String Band Association at the Eagles game.   I hope we can be the Eagles good luck charm (against Dallas).”

Hegeman was the winner of the 2014 PHL17 Mummers Viewer’s Choice Award and has participated in the Mummers Parade since 1920.
