After hearing their varsity gymnastics program was being cut, alumni of Temple University Men’s Gymnastics Team decided to bare all in a calendar in hopes to save the program. The idea of the calendar came about in the hopes to reach a larger audience — to get more people interested in the program and raise money to keep it going.

Fred Turoff, the Men’s Gymnastics Head Coach sits down with PHL17’s Zachery Lashway.  He says there is no reason for the program to be cut because of the great things they do for the community as well as their efforts to bring in money for the university.  Alumni were already a big part of the program with their fundraising efforts each year, but they are trying even harder now, knowing what is at stake.

The calendar has been a huge hit, with orders from all over the country pouring in.  To centralize their effort alumni created the following page: http://www.savetemplegymnasticsstore.com/.
