The Original Trilby String Band, established in 1898, is the oldest string band to perform in the Mummer’s New Year’s Day Parade. Led by Captain Joseph Kaminski, this string band entertains the crowds with an old time Mummer’s feel reminiscent of the parades of the past. This year’s entertaining performance really took us back!

2014 Theme Concept:

The Original Trilby String Band entertained this year with its 2014 theme “All for Mum and Mum for All”. The band’s leader led the string band as it performed such classics as “Four Leaf Clover”, and “When You’re Smiling”.  Colorful blue and black costumes and umbrella props made for an outstanding performance with an old fashioned feel!
