The Greater Kensington String Band marched in its first Mummers parade in 1946. This top notch string band has finished in the top ten over 40 times!  Led by Captain Harry Bradley, this year’s performance was one of its best!

2014 Theme Concept:

This year’s “Proud to be a “Mum”-Merican” took the crowd back to summer time and the 4th of July! The performers were dressed in bright, shiny, patriotic red, white and blue with stars abounding everywhere. The band played beloved classics, which included beautiful renditions of “Yankee Doodle Dandy” and “You’re a Grand Old Flag”. This performance was simply star spangled spectacular!
