Founded in 1945 by Fire Captain George E. Duffy, The Duffy String Band was once known as the “Firefighter’s String Band,” because it was comprised of mainly fire fighters. It was renamed the Duffy String band after its founder. Captain Ted Kudrick proves once again why this string band is one of the best with a performance that was a big crowd pleaser.

2014 Theme Concept:

The Duffy String Band entertained this year with its 2014 theme “No Strings Attached”. This spectacular performance tells the story of a puppeteer who is about to make his dream of having his puppet come to life a reality. This story unfolds with a series of lights, a chorus line of newly alive puppets and marionettes. The colors are simply dazzling and the accompanying music is infectious!
