“America’s Game, Philadelphia’s Honor.” That’s the slogan for the annual Army/Navy game, taking place this Saturday, December 14 at the Lincoln Financial Field. Kickoff may not be until 3 p.m., but many a fan will turn the morning into a tailgate party. But why not do one better and join the ‘mother of all tailgates,’ Tailgate for Troops?

Event representative Jack Kennedy is with us in studio today and he’s joined by David Bray, lead singer of “America’s most patriotic rock band” Madison Rising, and calendar cover girl Gina Elise of Pin-Ups for Vets.

The trio will all be at the tailgate Saturday, raising money for Pin-Ups for Vets, a charity that supports veteran rehabilitation. Madison Rising will perform. The band is notable for its cover of “The Star Spangled Banner” which currently has over 4.8 million hits on YouTube. The event will also feature three barbecue teams (lead by Baby Blues BBQ), an ice luge, a live DJ, flat screen TVs and a silent auction.

So if you’re headed to the game, bundle up – a wintry mix is expected – and head on over to Lot M between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. for the Tailgate for Troops!
