It was a fun morning on Eye Opener. Best-selling author Josh Piven has written over 20 books and is perhaps best known for his famously tongue-in-cheek “worst-case” books. It’s no wonder his Worst-Case Scenario Survival Handbook has sold over 5 million copies! His novel offers readers real-world (and hilarious) advice for worst-case situations they might, but hopefully never, encounter. Everything from “how to avoid the freshman 15” to “how to fend off a shark” – yikes! And, you can bet that he’s got you covered in his survival handbook.

In addition to being a New York Times Best-Selling Author, Piven has now added the “No Reservations” playwright to his title. It’s a modern twist on the Nativity story re-imagined for times. Check out my interview with Piven to see how he has recreated the classic tale which might answer, what the age-old story of Christmas might look like today.

The production will run at the Skybox at Adrienne Theater on 2030 Sansom Street until December 15.
