Dozens of homeless US Military veterans will be served a traditional Thanksgiving Day meal with all the trimmings starting at 11:00am on 11/28/2013 at Baltimore Avenue in Philadelphia. The meals will continue throughout the day.

Last year over 100 local homeless veterans came to the Philadelphia Veterans Comfort House for the holiday meal and were also able to take showers and do their laundry. For some, this was their first chance to do either in months.

Founded in 1994, the PVCH is a shelter for homeless vets and helps area vets surmount other challenges. Supported by individuals, the VA Medical Center, the veterans community, unions, businesses, community groups, and volunteers, the PVCH provides meals, shelter, and support to our nation’s military veterans in need.
