Stay Warm And Save Big This Season with LIHEAP

As the temperature drops, many people find their gas bills skyrocketing. If you’re concerned about this season’s bills, Philadelphia Gas Works says you might be eligible for significant savings. It’s a low income home energy assistance program grant otherwise known as “Liheap“, and it’s helping households stay warm but still save big.

Applications for LIHEAP are processed through the state, which then takes a look at your family size and income. Afterwards a check is sent to PGW, and it is directly applied onto your next bill. LIHEAP grants $250 to a household on average, which could mean a full month’s bill or even more. Despite the convenient ways people can apply for the grant, not enough people are taking advantage it.
