Every year, 239,000 women are diagnosed with breast cancer.  For every new diagnoses, there is a new fighting voice, and for the The Lounge at the Four Seasons Hotel in Philadelphia, their voice is being heard in the form of a new pink drink called Berry Bliss cocktail. Peter Whitley, Executive Pastry Chef at the hotel, and Adam Reed, a bartender at The Lounge joined us live in studio today with a taste of their new drink and some of the delicious food served at afternoon tea Mondays through Saturdays from 3:00 – 4:30.

Berry Bliss Cocktail Ingredients:

1.5 oz Veev (Acai berry spirit)
Fresh raspberries

Shake Veev spirit with muddled raspberries, homemade organic raspberries simple syrup and ice in a shaker
Strain into a Champagne flute
Fill flute with Champagne or sparkling wine
Garnish with a raspberry

The Lounge is supporting the cause to raise awareness for breast cancer. Two dollars from each cocktail benefits Living Beyond Breast Cancer. This organization, located in Haverford, offers specialized programs and services for women dealing with breast cancer or at high risk for the disease. LBCC emphasizes the importance of talking to your doctor about getting mammograms and clinical breast exams regularly and also knowing what is normal for your body.
