The sound of roaring engines and the smell of nitromethane will fill the air this weekend because the NHRA Nationals are back at Maple Grove Raceway!

Make sure you get there early to claim your seats, but there is ALWAYS room at Maple Grove Raceway and plenty of fun to be had with the whole family! So make sure to bring your ear plugs because it’s going to get LOUD!

This is the 51st season for Maple Grove Raceway and the 29th year the NHRA Nationals have blessed one of the fastest strips in the world!

Blake Alexander, one of the youngest NHRA funny car drag racers will be in attendance racing his Auto Service Plus Monte Carlo, Blake says, “It’s amazing that I get to do this” and he hopes to stay in the drag racing scene as long as John Force and other veteran racers have been.

Also, there is a new broadcast technology being launched that lets the home audience watching the event actually FEEL what the racers are feeling, through accelerometers that are placed in the racers’ cars and translated to vibrations in your couch! There is tons of information about the technology at shakemycouch.com

Events will take place throughout the weekend at Maple Grove Raceway, for a list of the events and to purchase tickets go to maplegroveraceway.com/
