What a way to start the school year, as Phillies Center Fielder, Ben Revere, surprises elementary students at a local Cherry Hill School on their first day back from summer vacation!

As elementary school children where checking out how much they grew over the summer using a life-size growth chart banner featuring a Phillies player, Ben Revere graphic, the REAL Ben Revere surprised the students to give them an official back to school welcome!

Revere spoke to the elementary students about the importance of eating healthy and staying active.  At one point he commented, “Look at all of the fruits and vegetables you all have, you’re going to be bigger than me!”

The Phillies Back to School event, which was partnered by The New Jersey Education Association, provided each child a “Ben Revere Growth Chart” where they could track their growth from home!
