My kids are heading back to school in just a couple of weeks and this morning Whole Foods Market joined me live on the set to show me how to pack the perfect lunch.

And, get this – these lunches are healthy and delicious! Sloan Harrison, The Whole Foods Market Healthy Eating Specialist from the store in Callowhill put together three lunches.

  • The Lunchbox Fondue
  • The Strawberry-Sun Butter Sandwich
  • Make Your Own Trail Mix

The Lunchbox Fondue includes fresh veggies including tomatoes, carrots, celery and humus and salsa.

If you need a ‘school safe alternative’ to peanut butter the Strawberry-Sunshine Sandwich gets an A-plus. It’s got “butter” made out of sunflower seeds. Yum!

And, we mixed up our own trail mix too. Sloan used the market’s own 365 brand of multi-grain cereals and dried fruit including bananas, pineapples and strawberries to a sweet and healthy treat that’s great for school, a road trip to grandma’s or in our house – a way to refuel during football practice for my sons.

Whole Foods Market is a part of Eye Openers great Back-to-School week, where we along with Finish Line and Best Buy raised $400 of Back-to-School gifts and merchandise. Today’s last inclusion to the winner’s basket was a gift card donated by Whole Foods Market totaling $200.  These are some awesome gifts, and in order find out how you can be the lucky winner of this great package you’ll have to stay tuned throughout the end of the week!
