Cole and Heidi Hamels made a special appearance at the Shawmont Elementary School this week to promote their initiates about the importance of quality education. In addition to the foundation’s projects in Malawi, Africa, the “Diamonds and Denim” Annual Event, and other successful events throughout the year, the Philadelphia Phillies ace starting pitcher is committed to improving education in local schools.

This particular partnership between Shawmont and the Hamels Foundation brought awareness and funds for sustainability of their music program. Every penny donated to this initiative will go directly to helping the young students and supplying instruments for the new school year.

Cole and Heidi believe in the potential for young Philly students! The future of the Philadelphia community is bright, and the Hamels Foundation is doing their part to keep it shining and flourishing through music and education!
