Spot Burger

It’s that time again folks! Peter Van Allen and I visited Spot Burger for another Biz Bites segment. The food truck, located in the heart of the Drexel University campus at 33rd and Arch, offers some unique ingredients for a traditional burger; some include sriracha sauce, avocado, jalepenos, and blue cheese. The 100% sirloin beef burgers that Peter and I tasted certainly “hit the spot”!

The experience at Spot Burger included owner Josh Kim ringing his bell each time an order is complete. The long lines of students keep him busy all day! They don’t have official hours of operation because they just keep serving burgers from 11am until they run out.

In addition to their regular menu, Spot is also offering a burger of the week throughout May to celebrate National Burger Month. Spot partners with Drexel student organizations, fraternities, and sororities to create custom burgers and donate a portion of the proceeds to philanthropic efforts.

Got a hot spot you’d like me and Peter to check out??  Hit me up on Twitter @JenLewisHall and let me know!  Tune in to Eye Opener on PHL17 every Thursday from 6-8am for more Biz Bites.
