Creperie Beaumonde joined me on-set today and demonstrated an easy way to make an elegant Mother’s Day breakfast for this Sunday! Just a few simple ingredients, fresh berries, and flowers can make this a perfect French delicacy for the women in your life. Did I mention the crepe was topped with lemon curd, and I learned to flip it myself? It was incredible! Along with my crepe, I tasted the delicious Belgian raspberry beer.

Located at 6th and Bainbridge in Philadelphia, Creperie Beaumonde owners Jim Caiola and David Salama have been introducing us to the traditional French crepe-making since 1998. They’re open this Sunday for your Mother’s Day festivities starting at 10am!

If you want to give the crepe a try on your own, here is a simple recipe:

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 teaspoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
