The Aqua String Band was founded in 1920 with its name reflecting the then raging controversy over Prohibition. Aqua has never missed a New Year’s Day Parade and is known for presenting original and creative themes, as well as introducing the glockenspiel (bells) into the Mummers’ Parade.
