Day two of the Democratic National Convention involved some history and some controversy during the role call. Soon after Hillary Clinton sealed her nomination, delegates and Bernie Sanders supporters made their way out of the DNC.
Hundreds walked out and formed a small protest, which eventually made its way inside of the media tent along 11th street in South Philadelphia.
At one point Philadelphia Police blocked the entrance to the media tent to block protesters from entering.
“I am not one of those people who has been frustrated by what we have seen here from the Bernie team and from the Hillary team,” PA State Rep, Brian Sims said. “The truth to the matter is this is kind of, I think, what our Founding Fathers envisioned when they talked about national conventions. Democrats had some great choices to make and we came here to help make those choices. We are going to hear from lots of different people and when all is said and done we are going to nominate the person that is going to become the next president of the United States.”
